Three face trafficking charges after B&E
OPP arrested and charged three people after responding to a break and enter in South River yesterday.
Police say that shortly after 5:30 a.m., they responded to a break and enter into a building at the historical train station on Montreal Avenue in South River.
Multiple people were arrested and approximately 53 grams of suspected Fentanyl was seized. The estimated street value of the drugs is approximately $21,000.
33-year-old James Carter, 34-year-old Vincent Beasely, and 36-year-old Steven Chrest, all of South River were charged with:
- Break, enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
- Possession of opioids for the purpose of trafficking, and
- Engage in prohibited activity on a premises
Carter is scheduled to appear in court on March 18th, while Beasely and Chrest are scheduled to appear on April 25th.
