No ETA on the re-opening of Hwy 35 near Dwight

The Ministry of Transportation has not provided a timeline for the re-opening of a portion of Highway 35 in Lake of Bays that remains inaccessible due to a significant washout.
The closure, spanning from Birkendale Road to Seabreeze Road, is enforced by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO).
The township says the washout caused substantial damage to the road infrastructure and the road is now local traffic only until repairs can be made.
Motorists are advisedto utilize the available detour around Lake of Bays via Highway 117, Brunel Road, South Portage Road, and Highway 60 to reach their destinations.
