Gravenhurst approves new roads rehabilitation projects
Councilors approved the road rehabilitation projects for Narrows and Kilworthy Roads, and Tower Crescent, in Tuesday’s Gravenhurst Council meeting.
The contract was awarded to Fowler Construction, at the tendered price of over $2.9 million.
Director of Infrastructure Services, Andrew Stacey says “The cost appears to be going down on the cost per kilometre.” According to his report, the cost is estimated at $245,000 per kilometre, compared to $255,000 last year.
Staff anticipate beginning construction in May and continuing into August.
