We can 't help but say that we think all this bull about MP Tony Clement calling a fifteen year old a jackass is pure b.s.
The spoiled little brat didn't have a problem engaging Mr Clement about his spelling of "tonite" on a platform like twitter that routinely shortens words so update will fit into 140 characters.
Anyone who would question someone's ability to do their job for shortening a word is just rude. We can't help but wonder what his motivation was, but we'll assume he was being a smart ass.
Now whether this boy has any political leanings or not is inmaterial. If you are going to engage a politician, do so on policy and not spelling. And don't be surprised if your rudeness comes with a rebuff. No one needs to listen to your b.s.
By running to press when you rightly get told off is another sign of immaturity. And shame on the press for giving it the time of day.
Sure to god, Clement must be happy 2011 is behind him and we expect that there will be news items in 2012 worth putting into print whether our MP likes it or not. But, lets call this what it is, a waste of time for the press. Its too bad there isn't anything more newsworthy to talk about, so they add it to the countless stories on gazebos in Muskoka. Who cares.
In my day, my father would have taken me to the woodshed for being so rude to an adult, never mind a minister of the crown. Being called a jackass, I think he got off easy.
